Who Are Chorus of Others?

Welcome

We are a collective of everyday men creating extraordinary art.

Our story began in 2017 during the world premiere of Fatherland at the Manchester International Festival (MIF). What started as a volunteer project quickly grew into a lasting community. Today, we perform, host workshops, and gather to support one another, engage with the arts, and have fun.

"We wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for that."

Chorus of Others at the Royal Northern College of Music

Taking the Stage in The Water Mark

As part of our ongoing mission to bring community-driven art to life, Chorus of Others had the privilege of performing at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM).

We were proud to join the cast of RNCM’s flagship community opera, The Water Mark.

Directed by Jonathan Ainscough with music by Kate Pearson and David Cane, The Water Mark is a powerful, original production inspired by the history of Manchester’s lost subterranean rivers and hidden waterways. The opera wove together rich local heritage, historical city figures, and deep themes of memory, nature, and human connection.

Sharing the stage with RNCM student musicians, the 50-strong RNCM Community Chorus, and regional artists, our members brought their trademark energy, passion, and strong vocal presence to the production.

It was an extraordinary collaboration that celebrated both our city's vibrant history and the unifying power of performance.
